3 month maternity substitute Feb - May 2020
Hours; 20 hours per week
To provide one on one support and mentoring to Project Playground Participants, grades 3 to 12.
To provide information and guidance in relation to the participants’ education, including tertiary, as well as alternatives to education when necessary.
Evaluate participants’ attributes and assist them in realizing their goals.
To create partnerships, within as well as outside the organization, to aid in increased opportunities for youth such as bursaries and internships.
Cooperate with parents, Project Playground staff and external partners to aid with the fulfilment of each individual’s needs.
Essential Functions & Competencies
Experience in one on one mentoring of youth and lay counselling
Teaching experience preferable
Good interpersonal skills
Certificate in Coaching, Mentoring and/or Psychology Studies.
Qualification in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring.
General Traits wanted;
Sincere interest, compassion and faith in fellow human beings

Strong sense of responsibility (conscientiousness and reliability)
Ability to communicate effectively
