OUR BRILLIANT BOARD

Our board members are the fiduciaries and steer Project Playground towards a sustainable future, by adopting sound, ethical and legal governance as well as financial management policies. The board is also responsible of making sure that Project Playground has the adequate resources to advance it's mission. 

Noore Nacerodien

Chairperson

Noore has a tremendous track record of community engagement and is a passionate sports development advocate. He has been instrumental in numerous sporting events and community upliftment. He is engaged in several community initiatives and sees sports as an integral part of peace making.

Some of Noore's engagements include:

  • First Vice-President of Softball South Africa

  • President of Western Province Softball Federation

  • Coordinator of many major events on behalf of the City

  • International Softball Umpire

  • Served Football and Cricket at Provincial level

Advocate Tarisai Mchuchu

Deputy Chairperson

Tarisai is the current Director of Mosaic, an organisation working against gender based violence. She specialises in human rights and have been active in several NPO's.

Dr. Vuyi Skiti

Dr. Vuyi holds an MBA in Management Consulting from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is experienced in designing and developing programme content for building capacity of health care managers.  She works closely with partners in government and the non-governmental sector to provide leadership and capacity building for the use of routine health information to manage and improve health care service delivery. She has been working in the management consulting space specialising in TB and HIV programme management for 10 years.

Lorella Campi

Lorella has studied foreign languages at University of Milan; she speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and Russian. Lorella Campi used to work as Responsible of External Relations and Events Organizations at the Modern Archive at the Architecture Department of the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Switzerland. She is involved with other philanthropic endeavours besides being a Board Member of Project Playground; she collaborates with FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano, AFS-Interculture, and Banco Alimentare.

 Lerato Legadima

Lerato has an Accounting and Business background, with an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Having worked for Nedcor Investment Bank as a project accountant, Citigroup Investment Bank (London office) as a business analyst, as accountant supervisor for Multichoice Africa Ltd, accountant for Gautrain (Bombela Concession Company) and as a Commercial Business analyst for Sekoko Resources. Lerato is also a board member of SAIBA; South African Institute of Business Accountants.

Frida Vesterberg

Frida Co-Founded Project Playground and has since its inception in 2010 acted as the Director in South Africa. She has been residing in Cape Town since 2005 and been on a number of voluntary positions since then, amongst others LoveLife, the SPCA and Somerset Hospital. Frida's willingness and fierceness to create change is what has made Project Playground the incredible place it is for the children, youth and families who walk through the gates.
