HR MANAGER

Location; Langa & Gugulethu  

Hours; 20 hours per week

 

Role and Responsibilities

Proactive Performance Management;

  • Continuous implementation and development of Project Playground Policies and Procedures.

  • Oversee Performance Reviews, Appraisals and Feedback Processes.

  • Support and Advise Supervisors in adherence of Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Code according to laws and regulations.

 

Staff Development;

  • Develop programs and identify trainings and workshops to address the gaps; e.g. skills, experience, knowledge. and how to improve on the current workforce.

  • Create and uphold a platform for personal development with life coaching and self-development focus.

  • Create Employee Assistance Programs- e.g. Trauma, Substance Abuse, HIV/AIDS Support.

 

Organizational Staff Culture;

  • Assist with on-going performance evaluation and management, including fostering workplace culture of cooperation, teamwork and agreement to achieve your organizational goals.

  • Advise on employee compensation and benefits.

  • Oversee Employee Health & Safety Procedures at the workplace.

 

Recruitment;

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining progressive sustainable recruitments; Including job descriptions, attractive adverts, consistent interview process, liaising between departments and concluding the decisions.

  • Induction and on-boarding of new employees.

  • Record keeping and filing of personal information, contracts and agreements.

 

Workforce planning;

  • Adopt a forward-looking approach to get the right people with the right skills at the right time with right mind set.

  • Define work functions and responsibilities needed and implement a strategy for these.

 

 

Essential Functions & Competencies                                                            

Relevant experience or qualification in the field of Human Resources

Computer literacy

Good interpersonal skills

Added advantage:

University Degree in Management and/or Human Resources

Certificate in Life, NLP Coaching or Psychology Studies.

General Traits wanted;

Sincere interest, compassion and faith in fellow human beings

Optimistic outlook on life

Strong sense of responsibility (conscientiousness and reliability)

Ability to communicate effectively
